Kazaa is one of the leading peer-to-peer programs available today. It comes in a free and a commercial version, with the free version as the obvious choice for most.
How Kazaa works
Kazaa is a program that allows users to share files. All they have to do is install Kazaa in their computers and the software will connect them to other Kazaa users. They can then start sharing documents, music and video files, all for free. While the program has no control over the kind of files users share, it does caution users not to share personal files or files that are covered by copyright laws. The software also comes with a music and video player that allows you to play the files you have just downloaded from the site.
Pros and cons when using Kazaa software
Kazaa is one of the top rated P2P sites because it is free and offers a very wide selection of files for download. However, it does come with some problems. The most common gripe heard about Kazaa is that is allows infected files to be spread. This, however, is also a known problem of other P2P sites. Users try to make up for this by making sure that their computer security is up to date before downloading anything from the site. Slow download speeds, not having enough users to download a file, and lengthy download times, which are often due to users’ bandwidth limitations, may also be experienced.
For something that is free, Kazaa is one of the best P2P sites there is because it gives users access to millions of downloadable files. Security problems can be prevented by making sure that your PC is always armed against malware and spyware before turning the program on.

I've been a fan of free downloads ever since I was 18. Everyone loves freebies but often the only goodies you can get gratis are goodies that suck. Of course, if you're short on the budget but can still afford to download tunes on the Walmart scale, you can opt for discounted ones. My recent foray into the download music news has at least removed a few gray clouds on my sky. Verizon, an emerging leader in wireless communication, has now made downloading OTA music easy on the pocket.
Sunday, May 13. 2007
The news brought millions of smiles to new users since the flat monthly charge is now kaput for every Verizon subscriber. Initially, those who receive V Cast multimedia download suite also receive their OTA tracks, but they are charged with $15 for the monthly access. This is one splendid cause for celebration. Many are suspecting that Verizon is competing hard against Sprint, or that the sales have ballooned and they're setting the discounts as a sign of gratitude to millions of downloading music lovers.
Saturday, May 12. 2007
To show gratitude, I think, Verizon also offers the public another kind of convenience. I'm not the least bit unhappy about the fact that I won't have to ask a technically savvy wifi and mp3 enthusiast to teach me how to transcode file formats from mp3s to wma on my V-cast phone. Verizon dubs it the "Chocolate". Savory as it sounds, the OTA tracks in it still come in wma format so I wonder if it made any difference. Oh, shoot - it did, in the "wheel" casing design that looks like the stuff you see on iPod. Priced at $150, it's so much cheaper, too.

My history professor once told me that in ancient times, before people go to war, they usually played drums and other musical instruments to condition the warriors. This is to stimulate the fighting spirits of the fighters as they go to battle and face their nemesis. Today, people use music to battle their own personal wars like loneliness and pressures at work and school. Compact Mp3 players are in demand right now as people want to carry music right at their pockets everywhere. For people like me who depend on music to relax my soul and body, they should visit Napster.com and download unlimited music from there.
Monday, May 7. 2007
I like Napster.com since it provides a minimum of two million various choices of music from alternative, rock, rnb, and jazz. Napster also recommends and suggests music playlists that you might like based from the previous tunes and rhythms that you like to download. Unlike other sites that have an expiration date for music download, napster.com allows its users to keep the downloaded music as long as the person subscribes in the site. With only nine to ten dollars, you can keep the music playing and spend fourteen dollars to refill your own player. With these great features, I would continue my subscription.
Sunday, May 6. 2007
Unlimited music is one of the best features of napster.com. In order to subscribe, visit their site at www.napster.com and click on link, Subscribe. You have two options: Napster and Napster To Go. Napster costs ten dollars while Napster To Go costs fifteen dollars. Although music is free in napster.com, you have to sign up by creating a username and password and indicating your email address in the Register link. Registration will enable you to listen to your favorite music more than three times. By the way, you can't listen to a song anymore if you don't register and you have hit the song three times.

Back in my old neighborhood, people used to smirk at you when you say you buy your stuff at Walmart. I'd say nothing is more fake than this smirk. I'd actually spotted some of these damn bastards and fucking hypocrites sneaking in when there are "sale" announcements at downtown Florida. Buying at Walmart doesn't make you a second class citizen. You could tell there are still lots of Richie Richs visiting old-age Walmart when buying brick-and-mortar was still a trend.

Today, we just visit Walmart online. I have this shopping list and buying online singles and albums was one of them. I bookmark the Walmart website and buy my singles at 88 cents while my albums at less than 10 bucks. The process works just like any other music store. You browse in the archive of over 600,000 singles or check out the playlists. Walmart allows you to listen to clips, in case you're wondering if it's a real Gwen Stefani song they have available.
Saturday, April 21. 2007
Then you just click "Buy". Your purchase gets transacted in a few seconds, and you're ready to download them on your Media Player. You could arrange the songs according to your Playlist, or burn them on blank CDs. Well, of course, if you're looking for bizarre hip-hop or techno-out-of-this-world, an archive of 600,000 singles won't fuckin' get you anywhere. You might want to skip Walmart and check out Tower Records or some other music stores altogether. There are a lot of indie and international ethnic genre songs that are stashed within these little music houses.

Do you want to check out my latest ringtone? Actually, this is a bit old since the album was released in 2004. It's one of my favorite songs that I know most young people can relate to. It's the song "Perfect" by Simple Plan, a band which originates from Canada. This song primarily talks about the pressures of being the object of parental affection. It might be interpreted as rebellious because of the lyrics, yet it speaks truth.
I can easily relate to the theme of the song because I experienced this during my childhood. My father expected so much from me. He expected me to graduate with honors, to top the class in our everyday quizzes and examinations. He expected me to be the best in every aspect. At first, I could still take it, but the point wherein I couldn't bear it anymore came. Even my mom could not help me that time. Then came the night that I've been waiting for. I finally had the courage to tell him that I couldn't do all the things he expects me to do. He was so mad and was shouting at me. After that argument between the two of us, I apologized because I believe that he's still my father and I have to respect him.
The following morning, I saw a note in my table. The note reads as "Sorry, son. I know your not perfect." From that moment on, my father and I became best friends.

Me and my ex-girlfriend used to fight almost everyday. Well, I tell you, it is normal. We always argue about anything. We don't fight if it's the case of incompatibility, but we always fight because we have different opinions and views about certain issues. For instance, we argued about terrorism. She wanted US to attack Iraq and end the terrorism once and for all. On the other hand, I disagreed on it because there are innocent people who would die. The argument became more serious, and suddenly we're fighting. I must admit, we're acting like children that time but I guess it went to a point that I could not take it anymore, and I broke up with her eventually. Well, it took months before I could recover.
On the same day we broke up, I downloaded a favorite song from Michelle Branch. It's title is "Goodbye to You." This song simply express what I feel inside. I want to let go of that someone who was so shallow and insecure. Although, I treasure everything that we had shared, it was clear on my mind to stop that stupid relationship. I knew that it would not go far because of our crashing personalities. Now, I am happy with myself and I am satisfied with my life. Whenever I hear that song, I just smile. It reminds of of how I succeeded in getting over a broken heart.

Downloading music is the "in" thing today. You can just get from the internet your favorite songs from the classic songs of The Beetles like In My Life up to the Black-Eyed Peas' My Humps. And yes, you can do that in a blink of an eye. But would you believe that there are other people who do not engage in this activity. They still buy albums to have an original copy of their songs. One of them is my friend Harold who is a big Michael Jackson buff. He spent some dollars to buy his last album instead of downloading it from the internet.
I even asked him to download it so that he won't have to spend more money. But you know what he told me? he said that he do not tolerate any form of stealing. He added that this activity also affects the musicians especially the songwriters who spent sleepless nights just to finish one song. He even told me that a lot of people in the music industry loose their jobs because of piracy. After that argument, I realized he is saying the truth. There's a lot of people who suffered from this. Well, never mind those established singers because they are paid well but what about those struggling musicians who only has a single hit song across their names. Late at night, I told myself that the least job that I don't want to be is to be a singer or musician nowadays.

In the past, we usually buy CD's and tapes of our favorite artists to listen to their songs. Now, no need to buy them. You just have to look for the songs in the internet, download them, and burn to a CD-ROM. However, it's not as simple as that. There are laws behind this issue and this is not as simple as the downloading process. There are songs that can be downloaded lawfully and there are not. It depends on the country on what laws they have regarding this matter. Hence, laws regarding the sharing and downloading of music on the Internet vary from country to country.
Downloading copyright music from peer-to-peer networks is legal in Canada, but uploading those files is not. The country also impose fees on recording mediums like blank CDs and similar items. These fees are used to fund musicians and songwriters for money that they have lost due to copying. However in US, the law is more strict. According to the US Code, the copyright owners are protected from unauthorized reproduction, adaptation or distribution of sound recordings, and also certain digital performances to the public. It is legal to purchase a CD and record it to MP3 files for yourself. But, if you download these files through peer-to-peer networks then you will be constituted for breach of law.

After popularizing music videos two decades ago, MTV Networks Inc is entering the online music fray with their latest offering URGE. This comes integrated into the newest version of Microsoft Corporation's Windows Media Player, which users of Microsoft's Windows will receive in coming weeks as an upgrade, but prior to that the player upgrade will be available for download at the URGE and Microsoft Web sites. URGE will have more than 2 million tracks, which can be purchased individually at 99 cents or as full albums starting at around $9.95 and will also offer unlimited downloads at a monthly rate of $9.95, or $14.95 for the ability to transfer songs to any of more than 100 compatible portable music players.
The cable network group had cleared content from its vault of exclusive appearances by recording artists on staples such as "TRL" and "MTV Unplugged" for sale on URGE. Tying-in with MTV should also help URGE sell consumers on the upside of subscription services better than others have to date. URGE enters an online music market which is struggling to compete with online piracy and the dominance of Apple's iTunes Music Store and its market-leading iPod digital music player.

At the beginning of the millenium, Napster was the infamous name when it comes to pulling off the latest hits in the music entertainment industry. Now, several sites have followed suit, although you have to subscribe first before getting the free trials. That sucks, I know, but come on, when you can have access to that number (read: thousands and even millions) of tracks, then might as well sign up and download, right.
But I think any person in their right mind would agree with me if the site not merely stands as a music downloading site, but also as a music tool. That's where eMusic site keeps the competition at bay. eMusic is not only a digital music online provider, but also offers its subscribers the option to mix and burn CDs or transform them into MP3 formats. Cool, eh? eMusic promotes independent music and labels so you'll definitely get to hear music fresh from the budding artists themselves!
New users are instantly given a free trial period. If they like the service, they can register for an affordable plan of just about $10 a month and that's roughly around a half hundred downloads already. Even if I have an Apple iPod gadget, I still can make use of my eMusic downloads because the site is compatible with iPod.

Yes, there's now a new and legal way to download the audio files you want, so you wouldn't have those sleepless nights worrying about barging cops and doing enough jail time for you to grow a beard as long as the Armenians. Betarecords offers unsigned and amateur musicians free webspace for their band and their respective listeners. This website promotes their music and live performances, thus promoting the band in the process as well.
Musicians with their own independent recordings of their originals can upload their songs on the betarecords website. These songs, along with uploaded photos, event schedules, lyrical content of the songs, poetry, and what-have-yous are then all made available as free downloads from the band's own webspace on the Betarecords website. But for schmucks with no substantial musical skills whatsoever, plagiarism is not an option - for every file being uploaded on the band's webspace are checked by the Betarecords management in case of copyright infringement.
Thus, the Betarecords website offers amateur musicians a chance to shine amidst the darkness of empty pockets and equally empty tummies. The website also helps to promote the live performances of the bands. Plus, it provides the general public free music downloads unheard on popular radio, thus proving to be an actual alternative option for the masses.

You can download many music files, or audio files, from the internet. But most of them are illegal, specially when its copyrighted, and I bet you got it from a P2P client. File sharing applications are now used to distribute copyrighted material, but, despite this, many websites still offer free music files for download - my favorite sites are those with songs for children, which I frequently download for my daughter.
Free downloads are just what they are - free music to download, free software downloads, and free game downloads. But remember, some are free to download, but only as a demo version for evaluation purposes. Music is the rarest when it comes to free downloads, but with kids' songs, they come in all varieties and in all languages.
So, for you and your children's music needs, it would be good if you first check on the internet for free kids' songs. It's also a better option - for you could let your kid do the listening and picking! Thus, your kids already have the songs they actually want (not biased by your own musical preferences), plus you get to spend time with them, too.

When I first got my iPod, I could not let go of it, even for just one second. It was just the coolest gadget, and it still is. You can download any song, possible. With the iPod and with every other MP3 gadgets, music has fast become a daily supplement for us.
Now, my iPod is not enough for my music cravings. I need to download all the songs in my handy Apple laptop. The best music download that I did was the greatest hits of Elvis Presley. I was not into Elvis before, but, when I heard his song "Can't Help Falling In Love", I just got to have his hits! I first liked this song from the Disney cartoon movie, "Lilo and Stitch". Elvis' songs are being downloaded by millions around the world, daily. So, I joined in the bandwagon.
If you are over those one-hit wonder songs, why not download songs that would last forever? In my experience, classic songs are always the best songs to include in your iPod. By the end of the day, when you get tired of listening to Jamie Foxx or the Black Eyed Peas, Elvis Presley is just the man you'd want to hear.

I am a music fanatic and so is the rest of the world. So, whenever I turn on my television, I always go to the music television channel first. I just love watching the music artists do their thing on television. I just saw the talented Jamie Foxx's newest video "Unpredictable" on MTV. Man, was it hot! Eva Longoria did a cameo in the video and she made the music video even hotter. Well anyway, you cannot see the videos that you want to see on MTV whenever you tune in, right? So, the best way to watch the videos anytime is through the internet, of course.
I started to download music videos through the launch music website. This music website is actually a fast internet access site. At first, I only watched the music videos, but I did not download them. But then, I got tired of always searching for the videos, so I downloaded them. Downloading music videos are better than downloading just the song. You get to watch the artists perform their songs.
I recently downloaded the live concerts of Oasis and Coldplay. Downloading music videos is also an advantage because you'll get to see new performances and new song versions that you do not usually see on television. Just make sure that you have an anti-virus for a safe downloading process.

Listening to the sound of music is one of the best hobbies that men can do. You can do some other things while listening to the music. While technology is busy lifting up the lifestyle of people, Internet is also giving out convenience to music lovers; that is by music downloads.
There are several sites that provide music downloads for handheld phones, personal digital assistant, and personal computers. Some sites provide free music downloads, but others are requiring for payment. Kazaa, Shareaza, Ares, to name a few, are the common sites that offer free music downloads. In today's world, everything seems operated by technology. Internet, in particular, has contributed tremendous changes in the lifestyle of so many people. Communicating with someone at the other side of the world in real time is definitely possible now. Since almost everything has converted into a push-button system, life became easier.
Even listening to music without using a huge stereo is not excused. Giant mobile phone providers have come with music integration to their cellphone units. Particularly Nokia Corporation, the born of the 3G smart phone is a big breakthrough. This new innovation functions through Microsoft Corporation. It can transfer the sound of music from Internet to cellphones. Now, it is also possible that people can get the music in the air through their cellphones.
With this power of Internet, it is not surprising to hear if music can also be downloaded in a television set. We can now hear our favorite songs even without the stereo through various means, like computer and cellphone. With genius minds of IT experts, I know that someday, movies can also be downloaded in the cellphone.

There are many kinds of computer viruses. They are divided into file viruses, which target the file system; the boot viruses that save automatically in disk boot sector or to the Master Boot Record; the macro viruses that infect document files and databases; and the network viruses, which use protocols and rules of the network system or email to spread themselves in the space. But, there are ways to rid of those malicious computer components.
Your computer should have anti-virus software installed to protect the computer from the attack of virus. Also, you should install any virus updates from your virus-scan software vendor, and let the software run in your computer. The software may not eradicate the virus, but you can identify what virus has infected your computer.
If you have identified the virus, search the Internet about the characteristics of the virus. Most sites that contain information about the virus will give instructions on how to delete the virus manually. Or you can check if there are patches or any program to download that will help to remove that specific virus. Remember, virus can be transferred via e-mail messages, too. So, don't send email, unless your computer is safe.

Not everyone knows, for every smile that the Internet gives to music download lovers, there is an agony for music makers and artists. Internet gives conveniences but mostly for the download music lovers. With the Internet music downloading, one can get the cost-saving advantage.
Obviously, you can download MP3 music for free. Another good side of music downloads is, CD manufacturers can size up the production of CDs they will produce for the markets. And of course, there will be a significant revolution in the music era, because, artists will think about what users would want to hear over the World Wide Web. They will be more creative and increase in numbers.
However, the Internet gives more drawbacks to music makers. But, the greatest disadvantage is the decreasing profit potentials for recording companies, CD retailers, CD manufacturers, and music artists. Multiple copies can be produced with free MP3 downloads, so no return income for music creators. Also, the quality of the downloaded music can be as good as the original CD. Thus, the perfect copy of the music can also be available over the net for free. Again, there is no income for the music makers.

Listening to music is one of the favorite hobbies of many people. Both young and old people are listeners of music. And technology has made its way to make music accessible to everyone. Now, the Internet gives all kinds of music for free.
MP3 is very popular Internet download today. I am one of those people who did a lot of MP3 music downloads. This capacity of Internet gives a lot of convenience. Imagine, you can get a copy of songs you want without paying a single cent to the recording company. That's great, isn't. But, not all downloadable songs in Internet are free. There are some sites that gives download music with a corresponding amount.
For some companies, you can get a copy of their software by buying it online. In a few days, the CD will be delivered right at your doorstep.
This is the power of Internet. Just click a mouse; you will get any thing you want. But still, there are some risks that you should be aware of. There are a lot of viruses that are present in the world wide web. Secure first your personal computer, before you make your download.
