Ever heard of a
middleman application? It's a program which provides compatibility between two non-cooperative programs. This one's called Jawbone, and it provides compatibility between all versions of JAWS for Windows and Dragon Naturally Speaking.
JAWS is a
screen reading application used by the blind to navigate through most of the functions of both the computer's operating system and various computer programs, while Dragon Naturally Speaking is a voice-activated application. This means that the functions and features of the computer, along with most computer programs, are accessed and navigated through voice commands (for Dragon), and keyboard shortcuts (for JAWS).
There were known issues, or compatibility problems, between the two applications, but Jawbone merged the functions of the applications in a single platform wherein they would work together as smooth as a whistle. Jawbone, unlike JAWS or Window Eyes, is not available as a
free demoware download from the manufacturer's website. It would be wise to buy it from the internet so as to give you more detailed information in case you need it before actually buying the program.
