Do you want to check out my latest ringtone? Actually, this is a bit old since the album was released in 2004. It's one of my favorite songs that I know most young people can relate to. It's the song "Perfect" by Simple Plan, a band which
originates from Canada. This song primarily talks about the pressures of being the object of parental affection. It might be interpreted as rebellious because of the lyrics, yet it speaks truth.
I can easily relate to the theme of the song because I experienced this during my childhood. My father expected so much from me. He expected me to graduate with honors, to top the class in our
everyday quizzes and examinations. He expected me to be the best in every aspect. At first, I could still take it, but the point wherein I couldn't bear it anymore came. Even my mom could not help me that time. Then came the night that I've been waiting for. I finally had the courage to tell him that I couldn't do all the things he expects me to do. He was so mad and was shouting at me. After that argument between the two of us, I apologized because I believe that he's still my father and I have to respect him.
The following morning, I saw a note in my table. The note reads as "Sorry, son. I know your not perfect." From that moment on, my father and I became best friends.
