Downloading music is the "in" thing today. You can just get from the internet your favorite songs from the classic songs of The Beetles like
In My Life up to the Black-Eyed Peas' My Humps. And yes, you can do that in a blink of an eye. But would you believe that there are other people who do not engage in this activity. They still buy albums to have an original copy of their songs. One of them is my friend Harold who is a big Michael Jackson buff. He spent some dollars to buy his last album instead of downloading it from the internet.
I even asked him to download it so that he won't have to spend more money. But you know what he told me? he said that he do not tolerate any form of stealing. He added that this activity also affects the musicians especially the songwriters who spent sleepless nights just to finish one song. He even told me that a lot of people in the music industry loose their jobs because of piracy. After that argument, I realized he is saying the truth. There's a lot of people who suffered from this. Well, never mind those
established singers because they are paid well but what about those struggling musicians who only has a single hit song across their names. Late at night, I told myself that the least job that I don't want to be is to be a singer or musician nowadays.
